Ophthalmology
Premium vision care in the context of body and performance
Vision is not an isolated ability of the eye – it is closely connected to the nervous system, movement, attention, learning and overall performance. Many difficulties arise even when the diopters are correctly corrected and the eyes look healthy. That is why we at Centrum pohybové medicíny Pavla Koláře have joined forces with the optometric concept dynaOptic and created an interdisciplinary program that offers a deeper insight into the functioning of vision.
We provide our clients with a comprehensive ophthalmological examination supplemented with functional optometry, follow-up movement diagnostics and advice. The goal is not only an accurate diagnosis, but also a permanent improvement in the quality of vision in relation to lifestyle, work or sports performance.
Seeing in context – for children, adults and athletes
Who is the care intended for?
We offer superior care to clients of all ages – from children to seniors. We pay special attention to those who did not get an answer to their problems during a routine eye examination or who are struggling with a decrease in performance at work, sports or school. Ophthalmological care is also suitable for preventive check-ups for people with increased visual strain.
Our care is primarily aimed at:
- Children and adolescents – for proper development of vision, attention and school performance
- For parents – who are looking for comprehensive and safe vision care for their children
- Adults with eye fatigue – suffering from headaches, impaired concentration or blurred vision
- People in front of screens – with dry eye syndrome, eye strain and decreased comfort at work
- Athletes and active individuals – to improve spatial perception and visual coordination during exercise
What we investigate and solve
Our examination is not just about visual acuity – we also determine how the eyes work together, what is the condition of the visual system as a whole, and whether there are functional or neurological causes of the problems. Based on a thorough clinical examination, specialized tests, and interdisciplinary cooperation, we address not only the symptoms, but above all their causes.
We focus on:
- Accommodation-vergence disorders – difficulty focusing and switching gaze between distances
- Hidden strabismus – subtle deviations in eye movement leading to fatigue or blurred vision
- Dry eye syndrome and PC syndrome – typical symptoms of long-term screen work (burning, cutting, blurring)
- Vision-related attention disorders – especially common in children and students
- Eye muscle overload – manifested by tension around the eyes and headaches
- Vision in motion and space – important for sports, driving or rehabilitation
Modern technology for accurate diagnostics
Instrumentation
We have modern equipment at the clinical level, which allows not only accurate diagnostics, but also a deeper understanding of the state of vision in functional contexts. We use the equipment not only to confirm the diagnosis, but also as a tool for monitoring the effect of therapy and long-term stabilization of the problem.
We use, among other things:
- Slit lamp – for detailed examination of the anterior segment of the eye
- Fundus camera – to view the fundus, retina, and optic nerve
- Perimeter – for visual field and spatial perception analysis
- DNEye® Scanner Rodenstock – for highly precise measurement of the optical properties of the eye
- RightEye – digital analysis of eye movements and visual coordination
Our added value
Unlike conventional practice, we devote sufficient time to each client, take a careful history, and provide continuity of care across specialties. We base everything on a medical basis, connecting it with optometry, neurology, and the musculoskeletal system, and offer explanations of connections that are often overlooked in routine examinations.
Benefits of premium care:
- connection of ophthalmology, optometry and exercise medicine
- enough time for a comprehensive examination and consultation
- use of cutting-edge technology
- targeted work on causes, not just symptoms
- an approach adapted to age, professional workload and lifestyle
Annual programmes
If you prefer comprehensive interdisciplinary care, we recommend one of our annual programmes. Annual cards open the door to all available specialisations and diagnostic methods.
