Specializations - Physical therapy - electrotherapy Prague

Physical therapy - electrotherapy

Physical therapy is an important part of modern rehabilitation and treatment of the musculoskeletal system. At the Center for Movement Medicine of Prof. Pavel Kolář, we use a wide range of therapeutic methods that help relieve pain, support tissue regeneration, improve mobility and accelerate the return to normal activities and sports. We always adapt the therapies to the individual needs of the client and combine them with professional physiotherapeutic care.

In our workplaces, we use modern BTL devices, which are among the leading in the field of physical medicine. We use physical therapy for acute and chronic musculoskeletal problems, after injuries, surgeries and long-term overload.

Mechanotherapy

Mechanotherapy uses mechanical action on tissues, muscles and the vascular system. It helps to release muscle tension, relieve pain, promote regeneration and improve the function of the musculoskeletal system.

Mechanotherapy includes:

  • Vacuum compression therapy
  • Instrumental lymphatic drainage
  • Shock wave
  • Ultrasound
  • Low-frequency ultrasound

Mechanotherapy is suitable, for example, for muscle imbalances, spine and joint pain, post-traumatic conditions, swelling or overload of muscles and tendons.

Electrotherapy

Electrotherapy

Electrotherapy uses the healing effects of electric currents and electromagnetic fields to help relieve pain, improve blood circulation, promote tissue regeneration, and activate weakened muscles.

Electrotherapy includes:

  • Microcurrents
  • Combination therapy
  • Träbert currents
  • IF currents
  • DD currents
  • TENS
  • EMS electrostimulation
  • Tecar – radiofrequency therapy
  • Magnetotherapy

Electrotherapy is used for acute and chronic pain in the musculoskeletal system, after surgeries, injuries, muscle fatigue and neurological problems.

Phototherapy

Phototherapy uses the healing effects of light energy to promote tissue regeneration, relieve pain, and help treat inflammatory and degenerative conditions.

Phototherapy includes:

  • Laser therapy
  • Laser 20 W

Phototherapy is suitable for the treatment of tendon and muscle inflammation, painful conditions of the musculoskeletal system, soft tissue damage, or for supporting scar healing and regeneration of the body.

Individual approach and modern equipment

We create each therapeutic plan with the client's current health status, diagnosis, and goals in mind. By combining physical therapy and physiotherapy, we strive for long-term improvement in musculoskeletal function, pain reduction, and a return to a quality and active life.
