Post-traumatic conditions and muscle injuries

Post-traumatic conditions and muscle damage can be caused by a wide spectrum of injuries which can affect both skeletal muscles and other parts of the musculoskeletal system. They arise as a result of sports activities, accidents, falls or excessive physical exertion.
A diagnosis is established based on a clinical examination, X-ray images, ultrasound or magnetic resonance imaging. The doctor may also use mobility and muscle strength tests to confirm the diagnosis.
