From pain to movement: How rehabilitation after an injury proceeds step by step

Blog - 2025-11-10

A fracture, a sprained ankle or recovering from knee surgery – an injury can significantly slow down your life. Rehabilitation is not just a recovery process. It is a journey back to movement, independence and your favourite activities. At CPMPK, we focus on making this journey safe, thoughtful and as effective as possible.

Everything starts with a thorough examination. The doctor assesses the condition of the injury, performs diagnostics using imaging methods and sets a treatment plan. This is followed by the regeneration phase, where the emphasis is on healing and minimizing pain. At this time, the physiotherapist is already working on gentle mobilization and maintaining the function of the muscles and joints around the injury.

As soon as the condition allows, the therapy moves into a more active phase. The exercise is initially gentle and precisely targeted – for proper joint function, return of balance and strengthening of the deep stabilization system. Gradual loading is very important. This way the body learns to trust movement again, while at the same time preventing overload or the return of pain.

Rehabilitation after an injury is not just about “warming up.” It’s about getting your body back into shape with the confidence that it’s strong, stable, and ready for the next challenges.
