Pulmonary medicine at CPMPK is intended for children and adults. It focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of respiratory problems, asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, chronic cough or shortness of breath. An important part is the assessment of the connections between the respiratory, cardiovascular, musculoskeletal and digestive systems.

To accurately assess lung function, we use spirometry, whole-body plethysmography, bronchodilation tests, pulse oximetry, and chest X-ray. A modern whole-body plethysmograph allows you to measure lung capacity and residual lung volume and helps determine the appropriate next step.

The inclusion of pulmonary medicine in the Basic Card expands the possibilities of interdisciplinary care. Clients can, upon the recommendation of their attending physician, follow up with a professional examination directly at the CPMPK, where specialists have the necessary medical documentation at their disposal and can coordinate further diagnostics and treatment.
